Purchasing Compliance Coordinator Job Description:
Position Summary:
Columbia Gear is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Compliance Coordinator to support our Purchasing team by ensuring procurement activities meet company policies and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for monitoring supplier documentation, maintaining purchasing records, supporting audits, and helping ensure efficient and compliant purchasing practices across the organization. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, processes, and cross-department collaboration in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and internal controls Maintain supplier compliance documentation and records Track and report supplier performance metrics and compliance requirements Support internal and external audits related to purchasing and supplier compliance Maintain organized, audit-ready purchasing records Monitor certification expiration dates and renewal timelines Identify and report purchasing discrepancies or non-compliance issues Partner with the Quality team to maintain current supplier certifications and documentation Support cost control initiatives and purchasing process improvements Assist with reporting and data analysis related to spend, compliance, and vendor performance Create and manage purchasing department reports and metrics Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data tracking, reporting, and analysis) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Experience working with purchasing records, supplier documentation, or compliance tracking preferred Manufacturing environment experience preferred Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) ERP system experience is a plus Why Join Columbia Gear?
