As a Buyer at WM, you will become part of a company that is: 100% employee-owned company with 40+ years of industry history Entrepreneurially Minded A Top 5 Systems Integrator Giant We have a Purchasing Buyer position in our Eden Prairie, MN location. This position is responsible for purchasing goods and services for Wunderlich-Malec offices located in the U.S. The individual will manage the entire procure-to-pay cycle for an assigned scope. A focal point is fostering excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders. The position will focus not only on spend activities within the current framework but also on driving process improvements together with the rest of the department. Major Responsibilities Obtain quotes from a wide range of industrial automation suppliers Create and maintain purchase orders, expediting suppliers as necessary Manage system data to ensure a smooth workflow Monitor open orders for timely receiving Resolve invoicing issues Assist Purchasing Manager in consolidating spend with strategic suppliers Communicate open order status and challenges with internal team members Maintain healthy supplier relationships Process RMAs promptly Participate in supplier training to better understand products, terminologies, etc. Participate in department initiatives to drive process improvement Minimum Requirements Education Four-year degree in business; operations management focus preferred. Experience Three to five years of purchasing experience in an ERP environment Industrial Automation experience a plus ASCM or ISM involvement desirable; certification a major plus Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills Experience in driving change within a supply chain organization Ability to find and deliver cost savings Strong supplier collaboration skills Understanding of accounting practices Strong grasp of Microsoft products including Excel, Power BI, Copilot, Powerpoint Physical Demands of Position Ability to perform all job responsibilities and computer access as needed.
