This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who can support daily purchasing operations, manage order activity accurately, and help maintain strong coordination between vendors, internal teams, and accounting. The right candidate will bring a detail-oriented approach, sound judgment, and the ability to keep procurement and sales-related processes moving efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day purchasing tasks, ensuring materials, products, or services are ordered in line with business needs and timelines. Prepare, review, and process purchase orders with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation. Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to confirm pricing, availability, delivery schedules, and order status. Monitor purchasing activity from request through fulfillment and address issues that may affect timing, cost, or quality. Maintain organized procurement records and update relevant order information to support reporting and operational visibility. Partner with accounts payable to help resolve invoice discrepancies, match purchasing documents, and support timely payment processing. Assist the purchasing department with routine administrative and operational follow-up to keep workflows efficient and compliant. Contribute to sales support activities related to order handling and transactional coordination as needed. Experience supporting purchasing operations in a business environment. Working knowledge of purchase order processing and related procurement documentation. Ability to manage multiple purchasing activities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Familiarity with accounts payable processes, including invoice matching and discrepancy resolution. Strong communication skills for working effectively with vendors, internal departments, and cross-functional teams. High attention to detail and solid organizational skills in a fast-paced setting. Proficiency with standard business software and systems used for purchasing and order tracking.
