This role plays a critical part in evaluating supplier opportunities, validating savings, and ensuring sourcing programs deliver expected financial outcomes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Opportunity Evaluation Receive and organize all data from potential suppliers for distribution to Category Managers and Directors. Execute and maintain landed cost models Evaluate supplier quotes and validate cost competitiveness Create and distribute project timelines to leadership. Track, update and follow-up on assigned tasks weekly. Support screening and evaluation of sourcing opportunities Work with Category Managers to develop category-specific sourcing requirements guidelines Project Execution Handle necessary arrangements, including coordinating travel with the Travel Department (i.e. flights, vehicles, hotels) for team members traveling to Asia Assist with calendars, travel, and arrange meetings for Vice Presidents, Directors and Category Manager as necessary. Bi-annual trips to Asia with Category Managers and Directors to validate supplier's capabilities Frequent calls in the evening with Asian suppliers and the O'Reilly Global Sourcing team in Asia Reporting & Continuous Improvement Assist in the development of dashboards and performance tracking tools Conduct post-launch cost reconciliation, including the evaluation of margin and logistics outcomes Identify root causes of performance gaps vs plan, and work with Category Managers to recommend corrective actions Support executive reporting and scenario analysis
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 2-3
years experience in project coordination, sourcing analysis, or supply chain analytics Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint Strong attention to detail Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly Ability to put team needs first and change focus frequently DESIRED Experience with import cost structures Familiarity with ERP or sourcing systems Exposure to post-implementation financial review processes O'Reilly Auto Parts has a proven track record of growth and stability.
