Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize inventory control and ensure timely availability of materials and supplies
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best price, quality, and terms for purchased items
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
• Provide plant material photos as needed for certain jobs
• Collaborate with internal team such as production planning and sales teams to understand demand forecasts and ensure adequate supply
• Manage contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions-print labels and tag materials prior to being brought in to our holding yard.
• Oversee logistics and transportation activities to ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods-Ensure growers deliver high-quality material
• -Reconcile and approve purchase orders and invoices for plants

Qualifications:

• Good driving record and ability to drive a landscape truck and trailer for plant pickups and deliveries.
• Extensive knowledge of plant materials including shrubs, trees and perennials
• Proven experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
• Familiarity with inventory control methods and techniques
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong supplier relationships
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type:

Full-time 35-45 hrs a week. 7am till 330 to 4pm
