1 yr contract w/ pos of ext We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Associate to support supplier account management, supplier administration, and supplier negotiations within a dynamic aftermarket business environment. About the Role The Procurement Associate will be responsible for building short- and long-term aftermarket procurement strategies to support business objectives. This role will establish cross-functional collaboration with suppliers, supply chain teams, engineering, quality, operations, and product management to ensure efficient sourcing and supplier performance across the aftermarket network. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute category strategies for aftermarket parts aligned with procurement and business goals Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and supply risks within the HVAC aftermarket industry Manage supplier identification, evaluation, selection, localization, and relationship management activities Build strong supplier partnerships to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery Lead supplier negotiations and contract discussions to achieve favorable commercial terms Manage pricing with regional vendors within a cross-functional sourcing environment Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality and supply continuity Collaborate closely with Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Product Development, and Operations teams Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives Support and influence cross-functional procurement teams and assigned vendor relationships Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field Minimum 2 years of experience in Supply Chain or Sourcing within large international organizations Experience in aftermarket or resale business environments preferred Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Word Minimum 2 years of experience using SAP and Power BI Strong analytical, negotiation, and supplier management skills Excellent written and verbal English communication skills Ability to travel within North America up to 20%, including occasional international travel Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering 3+ years of sourcing or supply chain experience in aftermarket operations Proven success driving cost savings through strategic sourcing and supplier optimization Strong market analysis and risk mitigation capabilities Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is an advantage What We're Looking For Strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness Collaborative and relationship-driven professional Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment Russell Tobin i s a leading minority-owned professional and technical recruitment and staffing advisory organization.
