Job Description

A manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC is looking for a Pruchasing & Procurement Specialist looking to interview candidates ASAP. This role is fast paced and demanding. This company is growing quickly and willing to train for upward progression. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. This will operate off the 1st shift schedule Monday-Friday.
salary:
$56,160 - $74,880 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4
PMeducation:
High SchoolResponsibilities Research, evaluate, and select vendors based on reliability, quality, lead times, and pricing. Identify and onboard new suppliers for packaging, drums, and indirect materials; manage specifications and qualification. Maintain supplier relationships and serve as the primary contact for all vendor communications. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to maximize value and ROI. Monitor market trends, industry changes, and material cost fluctuations to optimize procurement strategy. Prepare, process, and track POs for raw materials, labels, packaging, and indirect supplies to ensure timely delivery. Enter and verify indirect POs, transmit to suppliers, track ETAs, and resolve delivery delays. Align PO quantities and pricing with invoices, resolve discrepancies, and adjust as needed. Monitor inventory for materials and packaging; forecast future needs using historical data and production schedules. Review material requirements against upcoming production plans, place replenishment orders, and confirm ETAs. Partner with Production Planning to align purchasing with manufacturing schedules and avoid stockouts. Inspect delivered goods for quality compliance; resolve shortages, discrepancies, or defects with suppliers. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, pricing history, and delivery performance. Ensure all agreements and procurement documentation are organized and accessible to stakeholders.
