Summary:
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for but not limited to procuring all materials, managing all purchase orders, and tracking delivery dates for all open projects. In addition, this individual be working towards procuring inventory for future projects for long lead time items. This role is expected to grow with the business, as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Procurement of material to specifications defined by engineering and quality assurance, while driving for lowest pricing, highest quality, and quickest delivery when selecting and managing suppliers. Detailed daily management of basic procurement activities allowing for quick identification and resolution of issues and timely actioning of key activities (Quoting, PO placement, Reject resolution, Certification Issue resolution, AP issue resolution, actioning of MRP exception messages etc). Typical activities include financial evaluation, price negotiation, manufacturing process reconciliation and documentation, packaging approval, and master data maintenance. Develop, lead, and implement Continuous Improvement Initiatives to streamline and improve the supply chain processes Regularly evaluate and proactively execute corrective and preventative actions to ensure the company is receiving the right products and the right time at the best price while minimizing rework. Assignments are broad and complex in nature, will require ingenuity, creativity, demonstrated urgency, attention to detail and determination to successfully complete
Desired Education & Experience:
Associate Degree (minimum) Bachelor's degree
Desired Skills & Knowledge:
Previous Work experience within an office environment with manufacturing experience Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English Ability to complete paperwork accurately in English Ability to work safely around chemicals and equipment Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
Work Environment:
Work is normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment and throughout a heated manufacturing and warehouse facility The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate 6opGv5EyFv
