Job Description

Our client provides design and manufacturing solutions that support a wide range of industries through custom-built components and systems, and they are hiring a Materials Manager to take ownership of purchasing, supplier relationships, and inventory control to support production operations in a hands-on role that directly impacts cost, efficiency, and production flow. What You'll Be Doing Manage procurement of raw materials, components, and outside services to support production Source and negotiate with domestic and international suppliers (China experience a plus) Review quotes and select vendors based on cost, lead time, and quality Create and manage purchase orders, track open POs, and communicate with production Monitor and manage inventory levels (raw materials, finished goods, purchased parts) Analyze material requirements to ensure uninterrupted production flow Improve inventory turns and support cost reduction initiatives Utilize MRP systems for planning and tracking Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives What We're Looking For 4+ years of Materials Management / Purchasing experience Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships Strong inventory control and procurement background Experience working in a manufacturing environment (batch or similar preferred) Proficiency with MRP systems and Excel Bachelor's degree preferred Nice to
Have:
