Full Time JobSummary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a Buyer. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting Sustainable Beef's operations by guiding purchasing and warehouse functions. Duties include reviewing data, transaction entry, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase materials, supplies, services and equipment as directed, consistent with company policyRecord purchase orders in ERPMaintain control of purchase orders from creation to closeMaintain control of inventory item listEvaluate and create new vendors within company policyProcess returns and creditsMaintain appropriate inventory levelsUnderstand purchase contracts and purchase accordinglyInvestigate invoice discrepancies as neededManage reorder reporting, vendor price lists, and usage reporting in ERPMaintain control of Receipts and Invoices and monitor uninvoiced receiptsSupport Purchasing Manager and Purchasing Supervisor in maintaining warehouse operationsFollow all company policies and proceduresParticipate in all required training programsOther duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Inventory/warehousing experience in the cattle industry is strongly preferredProficiency in computer applications, especially Excel, Word and ERP systems (Business Central experience is a plus)Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict attention to detailAbility to work well within a team and across multiple departmentsAbility to work an 8:00 AM to 5:00 schedule daily, with extended hours as needed to ensure timely cattle paymentFluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills, with the ability to handle stressful situations effectivelyDemonstrated problem-solving abilities and follow-up skills to ensure task completionStrong desire to set goals, meet deadlines, and efficiently manage tasks with attention to detailExcellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor
