Whippany, NJ Buyer Specialist•Key Responsibilities Purchase products, materials, or services based on company needs Identify and evaluate suppliers for quality, price, reliability, and delivery performance Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules Create and issue purchase orders and ensure accuracy of specifications Monitor inventory levels and plan replenishment to avoid shortages or overstock Track order status and follow up on delayed or incomplete deliveries Ensure purchases comply with company policies, budgets, and quality standards Collaborate with internal teams (production, sales, finance) Resolve supplier issues related to quality, quantity, or delivery discrepancies Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation Support cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives Optional (role-dependent) Vendor performance evaluation and reporting Sustainability or ethical sourcing compliance Import/export coordination and customs documentation Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $35.00•$40.00 Per Hour
