Procurement Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join our team in Princeton, NJ. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in optimizing sourcing strategies for various facility-related categories, ensuring cost-efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage procurement processes, and contribute to the success of our operations within the reinsurance and Lloyds markets.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and procurement activities.
• Lead strategic procurement tasks, including conducting market analysis, managing demand forecasting, initiating formal tenders, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and implementing agreements.
• Represent business and client needs effectively during contract negotiations and decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with the legal team and other relevant departments to prepare and finalize contracts.
• Maintain a centralized repository for contracts, addendums, and related documentation for assigned categories or projects.
• Ensure all procurement and supplier activities adhere to legal, regulatory, and corporate responsibility standards.
• Manage sourcing efforts for facility projects, facility maintenance, and office furniture while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Utilize digital tools to streamline procurement processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement in sourcing strategies to achieve optimal outcomes for price, timing, and quality. Requirements
• Demonstrated experience in procurement or related roles with a proven track record.
• Expertise in sourcing services and materials for facility-related projects and maintenance.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle complex initiatives.
• Proficiency in contract terminology and experience drafting clauses in collaboration with legal teams.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Skilled in balancing regulatory compliance and risk management requirements.
• Excellent negotiation abilities to secure favorable terms and agreements.
• Familiarity with digital tools and systems that support procurement functions.
