Procurement Specialist - Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Position Summary The Procurement E&I Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing electrical and instrumentation materials, equipment, and services required for projects. This role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with technical specifications and company standards. The position requires close collaboration with engineering, project management, and vendors to support project execution. Key Responsibilities Material & Equipment Procurement Source and purchase electrical and instrumentation materials (cables, panels, sensors, control systems, etc.) per project specifications. Review and interpret technical drawings and BOMs to ensure accurate procurement. Vendor Management Identify, qualify, and maintain relationships with suppliers. Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms to optimize cost and quality. Compliance & Documentation Ensure all purchased items meet industry standards, project requirements, and safety regulations. Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, delivery notes, and certifications. Cost Control & Budgeting Monitor procurement budgets and track cost savings initiatives. Provide regular updates on material costs and market trends. Expediting & Logistics Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers and project teams. Resolve delays, shortages, or quality issues promptly. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering and construction teams to align procurement with project timelines. Support RFQs, bid evaluations, and subcontractor agreements for E&I scope. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in electrical and instrumentation materials. Strong knowledge of E&I components, specifications, and industry standards. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Spectrum, Procure, SAP) and MS Office. Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
