POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting the administrative efforts and processes in the Procumbent department, providing additional assistance to the Senior Buyer. This position will also facilitate the daily Purchase Order (PO) process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Enter releases to already created blanket PO's (Purchase Orders) based on emails from raw material supplier and send daily Purchase order request; Queue in Syteline Ensure accuracy with delivery date, cost, and General Ledger Research every item on purchase requisitions for best price - send RFQ's (Request for Quote) to vendors if needed Create separate requisition for new and/or existing vendors that offer better pricing Convert PO requests to PO Email PO to vendor and copy (cc) requestor Ensure confirmation is received and add promise date to Syteline Track Open PO report Create new items in Syteline and place orders for those items Assisting the Senior buyer and inventory control with maintaining inventory levels and materials on a regular basis Manage MRP (Material Requirements Planning) report and orders Communicate with Vendors, suppliers, and internal requestors on order reconciliation Assist receiving reconciling inbound shipments Prepare reports and updates as and when required Special Projects as needed Provide back up for credit card statement Scanning PO's and BOL's (Bill of Lading) to Global Search

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
High School Diploma or equivalent; Preferably 2 years of experience in purchasing or related supply chain position Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Excel and MS office Suite Ability to identify and resolve problems Ability to analyze data and spot trends, strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication with good interpersonal skills in working with both suppliers and co-workers Ability to make decisions and cope with pressure Ability to negotiate prices, quantities, and delivery times Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to cooperate and work with related departments Team player, dedicated to overall company performance and the ability to get along with others Able to work independently and in a team environment, as well as cross functional groups Self-motivated and able to work well under
