Procurement Specialist

About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist / Material Expediter with strong experience in electrical materials to support our construction projects and field operations. This position plays a key role in sourcing, purchasing, tracking, and expediting electrical equipment, tools, construction materials, and safety supplies. You will work closely with project managers, field teams, and vendors to ensure that materials arrive accurately, on time, and in alignment with company procurement standards. Key Responsibilities Receive and process verbal and written material requisitions from project managers and field operations. Review, source, and price electrical and construction materials according to company procedures. Solicit vendor quotations, analyze pricing, and present recommendations based on best value and procurement objectives. Generate and distribute purchase orders in accordance with established processes. Track, monitor, and expedite all active orders; maintain scheduling and status updates in procurement systems. Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve delays or discrepancies. Support the Procurement Manager with additional tasks as needed. Perform other duties as assigned based on project and department needs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience working with procurement, purchasing, or material expediting. Strong knowledge of electrical equipment, construction materials, and procurement practices. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to shifting demands. Able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented. Ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels, vendors, and clients. Pay:

$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
