$80,000 - $100,000 + Annual Bonus Full-Time | On-Site About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Technical Buyer / Engineered Product Procurement Specialist to support a highly technical capital equipment manufacturing environment in Tonawanda, NY . This role is ideal for a procurement professional with strong technical aptitude and experience sourcing engineered components within complex manufacturing projects. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, project teams, and suppliers to ensure materials and services meet cost, quality, and delivery expectations while supporting project success. Key Responsibilities Manage procurement of engineered components and technical services within a capital equipment manufacturing environment Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure supplier alignment with technical and project requirements Review technical drawings, specifications, and applicable industry codes for compliance Secure supplier quotes and technical documentation Issue purchase orders while balancing cost, quality, delivery, and safety requirements Track supplier performance, delivery schedules, and shortage reports Manage supplier Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) , corrective actions, returns, rework, and back charges Drive supplier negotiations and support cost-reduction initiatives Develop and manage supplier contracts and preferred supplier agreements Support qualification of new suppliers Identify and implement process improvements and technical procurement solutions Maintain accurate ERP data and communicate procurement metrics to support project planning Meet with suppliers to resolve technical and commercial issues Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR Minimum 7 years of experience in a technical field Minimum 5 years of experience in capital equipment manufacturing Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Familiarity with:

ASME PED
