Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Specialist to join their Procurement team and support the execution of strategic sourcing and contract management initiatives. This individual will play a key role in negotiating, drafting, and administering commercial contracts while partnering closely with sourcing managers, legal teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong contract management expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management & Negotiation Draft, review, negotiate, and administer commercial contracts while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws. Partner with internal stakeholders and legal teams to resolve contractual issues and mitigate risk. Maintain accurate contract documentation, including version control, approvals, and execution status. Support contract lifecycle management processes from initiation through execution and renewal.
Procurement & Sourcing Support:
Assist Senior Sourcing Managers with sourcing initiatives, vendor evaluations, RFP/RFI processes, and bid analysis. Prepare procurement documentation, reports, presentations, and business cases to support decision-making. Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service-level agreements. Support procurement strategies that drive operational efficiencies and cost savings.
Client Request Coordination:
Coordinate and prioritize incoming procurement requests and purchasing initiatives. Act as a liaison between internal business units and external suppliers to facilitate communication and issue resolution. Provide administrative support and project coordination for procurement-related activities. Ensure timely execution of procurement requests while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Generate, analyze, and maintain procurement reports, dashboards, and metrics. Identify spending trends, cost-saving opportunities, and compliance risks. Maintain contract lifecycle trackers and procurement databases. Support reporting requirements for management reviews and strategic initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance:
Partner with senior leadership, legal teams, finance, and business stakeholders to align procurement objectives with organizational goals. Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and risk management initiatives. Assist with the development and maintenance of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices. Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts across procurement operations. Qualifications Required Experience 5+ years of experience in contract negotiation, contract administration, and commercial contract management. 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within a corporate environment. Required Skills Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, contract negotiation, and legal terminology. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional business writing. Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Point, Forms, and OneNote. Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro and electronic signature platforms such as DocuSign. Ability to interact professionally with senior executives, stakeholders, and suppliers. Adaptable, customer-focused, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
