This role combines material procurement, CAD drafting, and general shop support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, computer-savvy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced machine shop environment with shifting priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing & Inventory:

• Source and purchase metals, materials, and shop supplies from approved vendors
• Track material orders, lead times, and deliveries to ensure project timelines are met
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
• Assist with inventory tacking and restocking of materials and shop supplies CAD & Technical Support
• Create and modify part drawings using CAD software based on sketches, samples, or specifications
• Convert and adjust drawing formats (ex. PDF, DXF, STEP, etc.) for compatibility with shop equipment and programming software
• Revise drawings as needed to reflect design changes or manufacturing requirements
• Support machinists and programmers with drawing interpretation and updates

General Shop Support:

• Assist with miscellaneous shop tasks as needed, including basic material handling organization
• Occasionally support machine shop operations when required
• Help maintain organized digital and physical documentation for jobs and drawings

Qualifications:

• Experience with CAD software (such as AutoCAD)
• Strong computer skills, including management, data entry, and working across multiple software platforms
• Experience with purchasing, procurement, or vendor coordination (preferred)
• Ability to read an understand technical drawings and specifications
• Strong organized skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Basic understanding of machine shop operations and materials (preferred but not required)

Pay:

$25.00

• $35.
