Ace Paper Tube utilizes the Sandler Training method which focuses on positioning a salesperson as an expert advisor rather than a pushy vendor. This method allows for success by bonding with the client base and building a positive rapport. The Sandler Training program will be available for this role.
Job Overview:
The Sales Support/Purchasing Agent role is a 60/40 role that focuses 60% on sales support and 40% on purchasing tasks. Sales Support (60%) will focus on managing and nurturing our existing tier two and three clients by maintaining strong relationships, addressing client needs, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling withing the current account base. All accounts are local and Ohio based and occasional travel to Columbus is required. This role is highly focused on the development and strengthening of key stakeholders within client organizations.Sales Support Key Responsibilities :
- Elevated level of customer engagement by ongoing and meaningful interaction that fosters long-term connection and trust.
- Phone and email contact with each tier two customers at least once per month and two times if necessary.
- Monthly onsite wellness visits with tier two and three customers.
- Overall Account Management with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and address and provide resolution regarding any concerns or issues.
- Enter all order into the APT system (customized CRM) and quote new projects.
- Quote any new business from current customer list.
Purchasing Agent Key Responsibilities:
- Buying all raw materials and office supplies needed for daily operations
- Work with and maintain solid relationships with core and trusted suppliers and mills to ensure timely deliveries of raw materials and supplies.
- Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure accurate supplies for daily production without excess inventory and also avoid any shortages that would cease production.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree business major is preferred but not required
- 1-3 years of sales experience (packaging industry experience preferred)
- A minimum of two years' purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- An exceptional level of motivation, desire, and competitiveness
- Highly customer-focused, self-motivated with B2B sales experience involving complex, relationship-based transactions
- Track and monitor pricing and look for cost-saving opportunities based on price fluctuations and changes in the market
- Proactive communication with management and production to avoid materials shortages or downtime
- Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Working knowledge of CRM system
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening
- Demonstrates strong time management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow up
- Ability to travel as needed.
