This position is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating materials, components, equipment, and services to support production and customer delivery requirements. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and collaborating with engineering, estimating, manufacturing, sales, and accounting teams to ensure materials are available when needed and at the best possible value. Responsibilities Source and purchase materials, components, equipment, and services. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and purchasing terms. Create and manage purchase orders. Evaluate supplier performance related to quality, cost, and delivery. Support cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives. Prepare cost analyses and assist with estimating activities. Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, accounting, and project teams. Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures. Resolve supplier issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
QualificationsRequired:
1+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or production planning. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP. Manufacturing experience. Experience purchasing mechanical or electrical components.
