This role is responsible for managing procurement activities across complex construction and manufacturing scopes, including fiberglass structural systems, mechanical systems, piping, electrical infrastructure, modular assemblies, and integrated data center support systems. Key Responsibilities Lead procurement activities for construction, manufacturing, and modular infrastructure projects. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, availability, quality, logistics, and commercial terms. Develop and maintain strong vendor and manufacturer relationships across strategic supply categories. Issue and manage purchase orders while ensuring accuracy, approvals, and alignment with project requirements. Monitor and actively manage open purchase orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules. Identify and proactively communicate supply chain risks, shortages, schedule impacts, and mitigation plans. Collaborate closely with project management, engineering, operations, fabrication, and logistics teams to support project execution and critical path schedules. Participate in supplier qualification and performance evaluations including quality, responsiveness, reliability, and commercial competitiveness. Support inventory and material planning strategies to balance operational needs and working capital objectives. Coordinate freight, logistics, and delivery timing to support manufacturing and project installation schedules. Maintain accurate procurement documentation, records, and ERP system data. Assist in developing procurement processes, supplier strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives. Drive accountability with vendors while maintaining professional and collaborative relationships. Qualifications 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in: Data center construction, Mission-critical infrastructure, Industrial construction, Mechanical/electrical systems, Manufacturing, or modular construction environments. Experience in independently managing supplier and vendor relationships.
Strong understanding of:
lead times, material planning, procurement risk, logistics, commercial negotiations, and construction/manufacturing workflows. Experience supporting data center projects or mission-critical environments strongly preferred. Ability to confidently communicate with suppliers, manufacturers, engineers, project managers, and operations personnel. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with shifting schedules. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Excel, and procurement tracking tools. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Self-driven with the ability to operate independently and take ownership of outcomes. Physical demands While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively through speaking and listening. The role typically involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
