$45,725.75 - $55,089.07 per year Job description: Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that materials and products are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and negotiation skills to maintain optimal inventory levels while fostering relationships with suppliers. Duties Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize procurement processes. Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production planning to ensure timely availability of materials. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings. Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure efficient delivery of goods and materials. Analyze pricing trends and make recommendations for cost-saving opportunities. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance metrics. Support e-commerce initiatives by sourcing products that align with online merchandising strategies. Requirements Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply management. Strong knowledge of materials management, MRP systems, and inventory control practices. Proficiency in Quickbooks Enterprise Desktop Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong supplier relationships. Familiarity with logistics processes and production planning methodologies. Strong analytical skills to assess pricing trends and supplier performance. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
