About the Role The Procurement Specialist supports procurement and inventory control activities for Xcaliber's's manufacturing operations in Pryor, Oklahoma. This role ensures raw materials and components are available to meet production demand while maintaining compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal processes. The position plays a key role in coordinating supplier relationships, managing inventory through ERP systems, and supporting efficient warehouse operations within a tobacco manufacturing environment. A Day in the Life Each day begins with reviewing production schedules, material requirements, and inventory levels to ensure alignment with operational needs. You'll work closely with production, QA, and logistics teams to coordinate incoming materials, monitor stock levels, and address any supply gaps. Throughout the day, you'll interact with suppliers, track deliveries, and update inventory systems while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain accurate material flow across the facility. What You Will Do Coordinate material requirement planning activities to ensure alignment with production schedules and operational demands. Analyze demand forecasts and inventory levels to develop purchasing plans that support efficient production. Execute procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials and supplies. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with contracts, pricing agreements, and terms. Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to support efficient warehouse and inventory operations. Monitor market trends and supplier conditions to proactively manage supply risks and opportunities. Evaluate current procurement and inventory processes to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Utilize ERP systems to manage inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels, FIFO rotation, and full lot traceability. Coordinate with transportation and logistics teams to ensure timely receipt of materials and uninterrupted production flow. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting related to procurement and inventory activities. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards, including tobacco industry requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience in procurement, supply chain, or production planning within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of inventory management, production processes, and supply chain operations. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality compliance standards. Experience working with ERP systems and inventory management software. Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment This role operates in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with regular interaction on the production floor. The position may require standing, walking, and occasional lifting of materials up to 25-50 pounds. Exposure to dust, tobacco materials, and varying temperatures may occur.
