We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to manage procurement activities and supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices. This role plays a critical part in our supply chain operations and will work closely with internal teams to forecast needs, place orders, and maintain inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Source and evaluate suppliers for quality, price, reliability, and delivery performance Negotiate terms and conditions, pricing, and contracts with vendors Issue purchase orders and manage order confirmations, lead times, and delivery schedules Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking in line with production or sales demands Track shipments and resolve any delivery issues or delays Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier databases Collaborate with operations, accounting, and warehouse teams to align procurement with organizational needs Ensure compliance and accuracy between Purchase orders and Confirmations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines [

Preferred:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field]

Preferred Skills:

Experience in [industry-specific purchasing, e.g., manufacturing, foodservice, packaging] Familiarity with import/export or domestic logistics Knowledge of cost reduction strategies and vendor management best practices

Mon-Fri, 8 AM-4:30 PM with some flexibility

Compensation:

Starting at $22/hour - $27/hour, with room for advancement
