Sr. Supply Chain Manager Penn Union, located in Edinboro, PA, is a growing manufacturer of electrical connectors serving the global electrical market. We are seeking a Buyer I to join our Supply Chain team. This role is responsible for supporting procurement activities to ensure timely material availability while balancing quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Key Responsibilities Direct inventory procurement and planning activities, considering: Material quality Pricing and cost competitiveness Material receipt dates Customer delivery commitments Production schedules Place purchase orders with suppliers to support customer demand and production schedules. Attend production meetings and provide status updates on material availability. Track and communicate changes in production requirements and customer delivery needs.
Maintain accurate internal communications regarding:
Inventory receipts Cost discrepancies Supply issues that could impact production or delivery schedules Build and maintain strong professional relationships with assigned suppliers to improve: Product quality Cost efficiency Supplier performance through continuous improvement efforts Monitor supplier delivery performance and expedite orders when necessary. Resolve delivery conflicts to ensure materials arrive on time and target goals are achieved. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. Essential Skills & Qualifications Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word) Bachelor?s degree in Business or a related field (preferred) 1 to 3 years of related purchasing or supply chain experience (preferred) Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
