Job Description

Strongarm Designs provides the ideal HMI solution to the healthcare, bio-pharmaceutical, food, and manufacturing industries. We are diligently seeking to hire a candidate for Procurement Specialist for our Inventory and Procurement Department. The Procurement Specialist provides supply chain and inventory management solutions which support our entire line of products including CleanMount, Vertica, Mobile Stations, and Suite-Stations. This position is located at our Horsham, PA engineering design, electronics assembly, and metal manufacturing facilities. Strongarm is also looking for a candidate that will adopt a culture of continuous improvement (incremental change, and blame processes, not people). JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for purchasing materials and services that meet our engineering and manufacturing standards. Duties and responsibilities will be performed using
VISUAL ERP
(enterprise resource planning). This position reports directly to the Procurement Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and update stock attributes within VISUAL ERP, such as order quantities, safety stock, and lead times. Purchase materials and services that meet our engineering and manufacturing standards. Manage stock levels and costs of materials and supplies from our various partners and vendors. Manage inventory reports and deadlines from the vendor. Gather quotes and place purchase orders based on daily stock level requirements. Recommend and implement procurement and inventory solutions to management. Develop and maintain professional relationships with supply chain partners and vendors. Create internal work orders to maintain semi-finished goods. Continually review and ensure that procedures, practices, and standards are being followed. Assist warehouse, receiving, and inventory personnel with inventory management including cycle counting.
REQUIREMENTS
5-7 years' experience with ERP, MRP, or equivalent database software; VISUAL Manufacturing required. Direct procurement or buyer experience required. Strong organizational skills with database systems (such as VISUAL) and Microsoft 365. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Ability to stand, bend, lift, and/or walk for 2+ hours at a time. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
