Our client, a global leader in the life sciences and diagnostics industry, is seeking a Buyer to support procurement and purchasing operations at their Philadelphia-area facility. This individual will be responsible for sourcing materials and services, managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and ensuring vendor compliance with company standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.Job Duties:
Understand and document business and purchasing requirements Identify, evaluate, and qualify potential vendors and suppliers Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements for materials, equipment, supplies, and services Formalize supplier agreements in accordance with company policies and procedures Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations and product/service specifications Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support procurement needs Identify and implement cost reduction and process improvement opportunities Participate in internal control and compliance processes Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier documentation within company systems Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement and supply chain operationsQualifications:
