Full Job Description Description:
OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Buyer I which under supervision of the Manager of Global Procurement, will be responsible to source, negotiate, and procure materials, supplies, and services cost-effectively and in accordance with company policies and procedures in a timely manner while maintaining the highest level of integrity, quality, and on-time deliveries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze, maintain, and execute Materials Requirement Plan (MRP). Continuously monitor and verify materials pipeline to ensure it meets the MRP requirements Ensure materials availability to support production per the Shop Production Schedule through MRP execution, on-time delivery, and coordination of materials movement through receiving to production Issue Purchase Orders regarding pricing, terms & conditions that are negotiated and agreed to by Cadrex Senior Buyer, Buyer II, Global Purchasing Manager and Director of Supply Chain. Ensure suppliers' adherence to established agreements Optimize order management process to ensure effective communication with suppliers Maintain integrity of master data and purchasing planning parameters to minimize material liability and to balance the cost of procurement with inventory investment levels Monitor and continuously improve supplier's delivery and expedite performance. Keeping team members and leadership informed of potential issues with delivery
Requirements:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1+ years related experience in procurement, logistics, or inventory preferred Strong numeracy and analytical skills Good problem-solving and time management skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
EDUCATION
Associate degree in supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or business accounting
