The Boeing Company's Indirect Supply Chain (ISC) organization is currently seeking an Experienced Strategic Sourcing and Contracting Specialist to join our Information, Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) team. This position may be based in Mesa, AZ ; Everett or Seattle, WA ; Hazelwood, MO ; Englewood, CO ; or North Charleston, SC . As a Strategic Sourcing and Contracting Specialist, you will own end-to-end procurement activities including, but not limited to, early engagement with stakeholders, sourcing strategy development, Request for Proposal (RFP) authoring, proposal analysis, terms and conditions negotiation, and purchase orders. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the procurement lifecycle, experience in supplier negotiations, and an established record of managing supplier relationships with mutually beneficial outcomes. Indirect Supply Chain (IDT&S) is a multi-dimensional organization where you will work with peers, colleagues, and executives in other functions on exciting sourcing and contract management initiatives. Position Responsibilities:
Evaluate supplier capabilities, performance, and market offering s Develop source selection, negotiation, and contracting strategies that satisfy customer need s Negotiate long-term agreements (terms and conditions ) Create and oversee strategic contract s Engage in stakeholder and contract lifecycle managemen t Support the development and implementation of category strategie s Demonstrate strong business and financial insigh t Recommend and implement supply chain process improvement s Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and develop implementation plan s This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 3+ years of experience in working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, Procurement and /or strategic sourcing practices and processe s 3+ years of experience in contracts/supplier managemen t 3+ years of experience in leading supplier contract negotiation s 3+ years of experience in managing supplier relationship s Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 3+ years of experience conducting price negotiations and negotiating, interpreting, and editing terms and conditions with support from a contracts team . 3+ years of experience collaborating with IT suppliers and negotiating IT contract s 3+ years of experience implementing process and/or strategy improvement s Project leadership skills and the ability to build positive working relationship s Professional verbal and written communication skills, frequently leveraged when presenting to all levels of an organizatio n Experience with SAP Arib a
