This hybrid role is responsible for processing purchase orders , communicating with suppliers , tracking deliveries , maintaining purchasing records , and helping ensure raw materials are available to support production, R D and customer needs. The ideal candidate is self-motivated , organized , responsive and comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders , with an eye for detail for a FDA and SQF regulated environments. _______________________________________________________________________________________________

Compensation:
$40 - $50 per hour, depending on experience. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Prepare , issue , and track purchase orders for raw materials. Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, order confirmations, potential supply chain disruptions and delivery schedules. Monitor open orders and follow up on late shipments, backorders, discrepancies or documentation issues. Coordinate with Production, R D, QC, Warehouse, Receiving, and Accounting to support material availability and resolve purchasing issues. Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier files, pricing updates and order documentation. Request supplier documents such as COAs, SDSs, specifications, technical data sheets, allergen statements, kosher/halal certificates, natural declarations and other compliance documents. Assist with sourcing alternate materials and suppliers based on cost, quality, availability, and lead time. Review purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, receiving records and freight charges for accuracy. Support supplier onboarding, vendor evaluations and approved supplier list maintenance. Prepare purchasing, inventory, supplier, and raw material reports as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, chemistry, logistics or a related field preferred. Previous purchasing, procurement, inventory, or manufacturing support experience preferred. Experience in food, flavors, fragrances, chemicals, ingredients, or a regulated manufacturing environment is a plus. Strong attention to detail, organization and ongoing task management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple vendors, orders, and deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook. Experience with ERP, MRP, purchasing or inventory systems preferred. Ability to work well with cross-functional teams. This is a hybrid position based in Commerce, CA (Carmi Flavors will be relocating to Huntington Beach, CA starting in Q3/Q4). The role will include both remote work and on-site work as needed to support purchasing activities, production needs, supplier coordination, documentation, and internal team collaboration. Work Environment This position operates in an office and manufacturing environment. Occasional time in warehouse, receiving, production, or raw material storage areas may be required. Employees must follow company safety, quality, GMP, and PPE requirements.
Compensation Pay Range:
$40 - $50 per hour, depending on experience.
