SENIOR BUYER - SURFACE MATERIALSSOUTHFIELD, MI WORLD
HEADQUARTERSSenior Buyer is responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. Ensures cost effective procurement and delivery of material and service to support plant and customer requirements.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Direct commodity buying responsibilityWork experience and judgment required to plan and accomplish strategic goalsNegotiates long term agreements and yearly savings in line with expectationsDevelops commodity strategies to achieve resultsUnderstanding of commercial terms and total cost management concepts required Advantages of working at Lear in the Purchasing group:

Your Qualifications:
Requires minimum of 5 years commodity purchasing experience.

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related business field or equivalent experienceData driven analysis and negotiating techniquesProficient with the Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to build strong internal and external relationshipsHigh level of integrityPriority setting and time managementAction oriented & produces resultsStrong written communication and presentation skillsAbility to work in a highly productive, constantly changing environmentSuperior conflict resolution skills while maintaining strong relationships and rapportIndependent workload prioritization, focusing efforts on the most critical and impactful activities
Bonus If You Have:
