Purchasing Specialist

The Purchasing Specialist assists the Director of Purchasing and Project Management with activities pertaining to the purchase and distribution of equipment, vehicles/vehicle parts, machinery, furniture, fuel, lubricants, supplies, and services. Assists with other administrative duties when needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EXPERIENCE

Associate Degree in Business Administration or Project Management, or related field preferred 2 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement or transit operations preferred Experience with publicsector procurement and federally funded projects preferred

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must pass a criminal background check. Must receive a negative result from a nonDOT preemployment drug screen. Occasional travel to other PDRTA offices, local/overnight outoftown travel is required. Must be flexible with regard to covering varied work hours/shifts. Starting Salary will be commensurate with years of experience and/or advanced educational degree.
