Supports category spend analysis and strategic sourcing initiatives by applying advanced analytics to enhance transparency, decision‑making, and governance across programs and suppliers. Interprets cost‑related data to identify optimization opportunities and strengthen the category's overall sourcing strategy. Provide expertise in strategic sourcing and category management to support the development and implementation of effective solutions that optimize supplier performance and deliver cost savings. Monitors compliance and process effectiveness to ensure alignment with policies and continuous improvement. Delivers training and guidance to stakeholders to enhance understanding and adoption of best practices. Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations. Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of services. Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility.
Additional Job Description:
Education Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field Experience 5 years' experience with procurement or category management, and working with data collection, analysis and interpretation. Experience working with documents, policies, SOP creation and implementation. Experience leading or collaborating with small projects. Experience as subject matter-expert, asset resource and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to provide support to internal/external clients. Additional experience may substitute for required education when it aligns with the competencies and knowledge necessary for the role: Associate's degree in a relevant field may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 8 years of experience performing similar functions and at least 5 years of experience performing a previous position as Specialist role. High School or equivalent (GED) when accompanied by a minimum of 10 years of experience performing similar functions described and at least 8 years of experience performing a previous Procurement, Strategic Sourcing role. Competencies (Skills) Proven ability to develop and foster strong working relationships with stakeholders and all levels of management within LUMA. Proven leadership experience within cross-functional teams. Skilled in workflow and operational efficiency. Skilled in effective, innovative optimization of leading performance standards Strong organizational skills, exception attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize workload based on business needs and operational criticality. Knowledge in Microsoft Office and other relevant software/systems in an experienced manner Ability to develop oral, written and digital presentations or reports with the ability to communicate ideas and strategies to various audiences.
