Senior Buyer - Plastics and Chemicals Knoxville, TN Are you ready to take your procurement expertise to the next level? Our client is looking for a Senior Buyer who can build strong supplier partnerships, reduce costs, and secure continuity of supply. If you have plastics and chemical industry experience, especially with resins, TiO₂, carbon black, or additives, this is your chance to make a significant impact. What You'll Do Manage purchasing of raw materials, indirect materials, MRO, services, and equipment Develop and implement supplier and commodity strategies Negotiate contracts and lead supplier performance improvements Conduct market analysis and communicate cost drivers and trends Maintain accurate supplier records and pricing history Lead supplier audits, cost improvement workshops, and corrective actions Support budgeting, costing, and procurement KPIs What You Bring 5+ years of procurement experience (plastics or chemical industry preferred) Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Chemistry, or related field Strong knowledge of global supply chains and supplier management Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, Power BI); Dynamics 365 experience an asset Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel as required Why Join Us?
