Full Job Description Description:
We are seeking a motivated Purchasing Coordinator to support internal operations and day-to-day production activities across our homebuilding company. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating across multiple teams and priorities and is eager to build expertise in purchasing operations and construction processes. The Purchasing Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Senior Purchasing Manager and Purchasing Agent in daily activities, gaining hands-on familiarity with product specifications, material usage, industry standards, construction practices, building codes, and company policies and procedures. Success in this role requires the ability to make sound independent decisions when appropriate, manage varying schedules, organize and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Process new home start packages in BRIX. Ensure Trade Partners have the necessary documentation to complete their duties. Track trade partner insurance compliance. Review and identify issues within Change Orders. Process vendor changes and pricing updates on active homes. Review monthly accruals for the finance team to balance the month's closed homes. Assist in processing variance purchase order requests daily from the team. Review vendor aging statements and identify payment issues if applicable. Perform related administrative/clerical duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bilingual English and Spanish speaking preferred Knowledge and experience with BRIX software system preferred. Experience with database input and reporting. Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel (requires input as well as creation of spreadsheets, including mathematical formulas, some macros, formatting, and creation of reports).
Education/ Experience:
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
