Contract Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Purchasing Specialist with experience in logistics and procurement. This role focuses on managing purchasing activities, supplier coordination, and supporting supply chain operations in a collaborative team environment. Ideal candidates are self-driven team players looking to grow their careers in purchasing and logistics. Key Responsibilities Process purchase orders for spare parts, assemblies, and components Analyze and communicate key data such as vendor quotes, part lists, and reports Source suppliers and obtain, evaluate, and negotiate bids (pricing, delivery, quality, terms) Manage open orders to ensure optimal supplier performance Evaluate supplier performance using established rating methods Conduct supplier meetings and participate in business reviews Support cost reduction initiatives Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders Generate reports, metrics, and procurement strategies Ensure compliance with standard purchasing practices and documentation (BOMs, specifications) Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (Business, Finance, or related field preferred) (Equivalent 4+ years of relevant experience may substitute degree) Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience (8 years preferred) Experience in procurement/logistics operations Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills Ability to work effectively in a small team environment (5 members)Preferred Qualifications Background in semiconductor manufacturing or electronics industry Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing documentation Previous logistics-focused purchasing experience Candidates with 2+ years of backroom logistics experience are highly encouraged Key Skills & Competencies Strong team player with a self-starter mindset Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Attention to detail and accuracy Excellent interpersonal and supplier management skills Additional Information This is an onshore position (no remote-only option) Not a highly technical role; focus is on procurement and logistics operations Great opportunity for candidates seeking long-term career growth in supply chain NIT01
