Spherion is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our client's procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing the materials and services essential for solar panel manufacturing operations. Your goal is to ensure that our production lines have everything they need to run smoothly, while balancing cost-efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Procurement:
Identify and vet suppliers for raw materials, components, and factory supplies.Purchase Order Management:
Process purchase orders (POs) and track deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time to meet production schedules.Vendor Relations:
Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.Inventory Coordination:
Work closely with the warehouse and production teams to monitor stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking.Quality Control Support:
Collaborate with the technical team to ensure all incoming materials meet our internal quality standards and industry certifications. ...Cost Management:

Ability to manage spreadsheets, track lead times, and analyze vendor performance data.Software:
