Job Description
Are you a confident negotiator who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Freymiller Logistics is looking for a Carrier Procurement to build carrier relationships, secure capacity, and move freight across the U.S. If you're energetic, driven, and want to grow your logistics career—this is your chance to join a high-performance brokerage team.
What You'll Do:
- Source and secure truckload capacity through existing and new carrier relationships.
- Negotiate rates and build long-term partnerships with carriers.
- Book and manage shipments from pickup to delivery, ensuring top-tier service.
- Track loads and communicate updates proactively to internal teams.
- Monitor market trends and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
- Vet and onboard new carriers in compliance with company standards.
- Manage carrier performance, resolve issues, and drive accountability.
- Collaborate daily with sales and account teams to ensure successful freight execution.
What You Bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in carrier sales, dispatch, or logistics operations (preferred).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong multitasking ability and attention to detail.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a high-volume environment.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and load boards (e.g., DAT, Truckstop).
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
