The Junior Purchasing Agent will assist in the procurement of goods and services, manage purchase orders, and support vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective, timely acquisitions in the manufacturing sector. Duties Support the procurement team by processing purchase orders using ERP systems. Initiate, track, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods. Monitor inventory levels and update purchasing matrices to align with company needs. Maintain accurate records of invoices, contracts, and receipts. Coordinates with inventory team to maintain inventory levels. Assist in identifying products that no longer need to be in inventory and eliminated. Inspect and correct documents such as Sales Orders, Purchase Orders and Packing Slips before forwarding for payment of invoices. Identify potential suppliers, maintain vendor relationships, and negotiate terms, often under supervision. Ensures what was ordered was received and pursues any Back Orders. Responsible for all Returns and Warranty Returns; including shipping, receiving, restocking and securing credits. Works with the Inventory Team on annual and any mid-year inventory counts. Follow up on orders to ensure high levels of satisfaction and resolve any issues or concerns prior to transfer of BOM's or parts to Assembly or shipment. Knowledge & Skills High school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree in Logistics, Purchase and Supply, Business Administration or related fields preferred). Minimum 2 years' experience in industrial/manufacturing parts and products procurement. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities efficiently. Excellent communications skills (written and spoken) in English.
