BASIC PURPOSE

Currently the position involves the acquisition of all spare parts and tooling and the control of inventory.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to appropriately handle stress and interact with others.
• Must have aptitude required to understand the machining process.
• Ability to read varying manufacturers' nomenclature.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work.
• Must have good oral and written communication and organizational skills.

TOP ACTUAL TASKS

• Issue purchase orders for parts, products, and service calls in Manufacturing plant.
• Assure an accurate inventory by checking critical inventory reports and reordering as needed.
• Evaluate vendor quotes, lead times, and capabilities to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
• Assist all departments and services in Manufacturing with purchasing tooling, components, machine parts and supplies.
• Fill in with assisting operators in setting up and/or ordering tooling if the Tooling Technician is unavailable Although we have described above what we are generally looking for, we are very likely missing other attributes and skills that may make you a great fit!
