This position ensures compliance with safety standards, DEA regulations, and company protocols while maintaining accurate inventory and supporting clinic readiness for sedation procedures. The Sedation Ordering Specialist plays a key role in ensuring patient safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Oversee the ordering, tracking, and distribution of all sedation-related medications, supplies, and equipment across Nuvia locations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date sedation formulary, collaborating with the Clinical Advisory Board (CAB) and Provider Leadership for updates and standardization. Manage sedation inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment while avoiding excess or expired stock. Coordinate with Regional Clinical Teams to confirm sedation supply needs and manage clinic-specific requirements. Process purchase orders for approved sedation-related items, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Maintain accurate records of sedation orders, receipts, usage logs, and disposal documentation. Work closely with Finance to ensure proper authorization and budget adherence for sedation-related expenses. Conduct regular audits of sedation inventories to ensure compliance and accuracy across all clinical locations. Requirements Understanding of DEA and state-level regulations regarding controlled substances and sedation medications. High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in ordering, documentation, and compliance. Effective communication skills to collaborate with suppliers, clinical teams, and internal departments. Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and ensure compliance under pressure. Proficiency in documentation, record-keeping, and digital inventory management systems. Results Reliable and timely availability of sedation medications and supplies across all clinical locations. Improved operational efficiency and accuracy through streamlined sedation ordering and documentation processes.
