Job Description:
R D Sourcing Specialist This role plays a crucial role in research and development by identifying, evaluating, and securing the best suppliers for materials, components, and services needed for innovation.
Their responsibilities typically include:
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing Project Management
  • Lead sourcing initiatives from concept phase to prototype validation, managing timelines, deliverables, and supplier readiness. Supplier Development
  • Support onboarding and capacity-building efforts with new or existing suppliers to meet technical, quality, and compliance expectations Supplier Identification & Evaluation
  • Researching and selecting vendors that meet quality, cost, and innovation requirements. Negotiation & Contract Management
  • Establishing agreements with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms. Collaboration with R D Teams
  • Working closely with engineers and scientists to understand material needs and sourcing strategies. Market & Trend Analysis
  • Keeping up with industry trends to identify new sourcing opportunities. Cost Optimization
  • Finding ways to reduce expenses while maintaining high-quality standards. Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensuring suppliers adhere to regulatory and ethical standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications Education:
Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience:
Prior experience in procurement, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with engineering materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
Analytical Thinking:
Ability to assess supplier performance and optimize procurement strategies. Travel International travel to Munters locations (e.g., Virginia, Texas, Ireland, Italy) and supplier sites is required based on project needs. Willingness to travel up to 20-30% of the time, with flexibility to engage across time zones and diverse cultural environments. Why Join Us?
