POSITION SUMMARY
Source and evaluate prices, reviews, and procure parts, materials, and services for integration into production and shop operations. Engage with approved vendors and suppliers to guarantee the timely delivery of products and services. Conduct inspections of received materials before distribution. Manage the shipping of outbound products and materials. Oversee the processing of all purchase orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of and strict compliance with the procedures outlined in the Company's Quality Management System. Ensures the accuracy and thoroughness of approved requisitions for the procurement of products and services, while prioritizing tasks as necessary. Issue purchase orders to suppliers or subcontractors for the procurement of services and products. Responsible for entering purchase orders, processing packing slip receipts, managing inventory transactions, and inputting invoices into the database. Maintains comprehensive records of acquisitions, receipts, outstanding credits, and other assigned documentation. Facilitates comprehension and adherence to the organization's accounting policies and procedures. Ensure a comprehensive understanding and adherence to the company's accounting standards to facilitate the precise processing of invoices. Possesses a comprehensive understanding of General Ledger Accounts to ensure precise allocation for the company's financial reporting. The inventory management processes are essential for meeting production and shop requirements efficiently. Facilitates inventory assessments to ensure accurate counts. Facilitates the systematic assessment of vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and optimal performance. Operates autonomously within overarching organizational frameworks to accomplish goals. Facilitates the verification of the "Subcontractor Job Completion Certificate" to ensure accurate processing of invoice data. Performs thorough inspections of received products to ensure adherence to established specifications and quality standards. Facilitates the management, storage, packaging, preservation, identification, and distribution of received components, products, and materials. Effectively conveys relevant information regarding material and service orders to management and colleagues, as per the guidelines established in Revision 09/2017. Ensure the preparation of all required shipping documents and the scheduling of outbound freight is conducted efficiently and professionally. Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED certificate or equivalent education and experience. 3 plus years' experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge NAVSEA standard items, Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual, NAVSHIPS Tech Manuals, Department of Defense standards, and standards, and military specifications a plus. Ability to work at a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability and tolerance to meet due dates and deadlines and/or time constraints. Ability to evaluate and analyze departmental and industry trends. Knowledge of and ability to utilize Microsoft office applications. Ability to resolve complaints and negotiate with others.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Office position in a production environment may be exposed to noise levels, dust and/or grime. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment when required. Office environment with computers, printers, typing and normal conversation.
