In this vital role, you will drive the sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain management of occupational materials and equipment, ensuring seamless operations across various departments. Your expertise will help optimize inventory levels, negotiate favorable contracts, and leverage ERP systems to streamline procurement processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to operational excellence and support the organization's growth by securing high-quality materials efficiently and cost-effectively. Duties Manage the end-to-end procurement process for occupational supplies, equipment, and materials using ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, or Oracle EBS. Collaborate with internal departments to understand their sourcing needs and develop strategic purchasing plans aligned with production schedules and inventory management goals. Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify reliable vendors, negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts that maximize value for the organization. Utilize materials management techniques including MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and prevent stock shortages or excesses. Oversee inventory control procedures to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained while minimizing waste and obsolescence. Coordinate logistics and supply chain activities related to procurement, including shipping schedules, customs compliance, and delivery tracking. Maintain comprehensive records of purchase orders, contracts, supplier performance metrics, and procurement documentation for audit readiness. Qualifications Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles within manufacturing, industrial, or corporate environments. Strong familiarity with ERP systems such as
SAP ERP, JD
Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400 for procurement and materials management functions. Knowledge of supply chain management principles including inventory management, logistics, sourcing strategies, and production planning. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable pricing and contract terms. Ability to analyze data related to pricing trends, vendor performance, and inventory levels to make informed purchasing decisions. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online sourcing tools is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
