Flexibility:
Onsite•4 days and 1 remote (Mon•Thurs)Summary:
Responsible for tracking and closing our direct ship orders. This requires contacting and working with suppliers, accessing supplier shipping information and populating the Client Oracle system with the respective information required. Must haves•strong communication, organized and attention to detail, able to work autonomously. Rest of team is remote but manager is onsite. Training•couple of weeks onsiteMajor Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for following up with external suppliers on order acknowledgements, estimated ship dates and shipping cost to close Direct Ship purchase orders. Analyze and process direct ship purchase orders that are put on hold Ensure suppliers are following our freight instructions Support problem solving with suppliers having delivery issues Communicate obsolete parts to MDM team Work closely with Order Management, Material Planners, and Procurement teams Support the On-time Shipping and Supplier Performance Measurement program Produce and communicate purchasing documents to suppliers (Tax Exemption forms, other forms and letters required). Support distribution of purchase orders and acknowledgement Support requests from customers and Order Management Other potential responsibilities as assigned Support the lean and continuous improvement initiatives within the teamEducation/Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 1+ year experience or lower degree with 2+ years of experience in a materials coordinator, materials planning & purchasing role, or similar roles which requires frequent communication with suppliers, customers, or cross functional teams.Skills and Competencies:
Strong communication skills, must be detail oriented, very organized with strong data analytic skills. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience using Oracle, ERP System, or equivalent highly preferred.Similar jobs in La Crosse, WI
