Manitowoc, Wisconsin Sourcing Specialist (Chemicals) | Manitowoc, WI (On-site) Are you a procurement/sourcing professional who knows chemical raw materials and enjoys building strong supplier partnerships? We're hiring a Sourcing Specialist - Chemicals to help develop and manage a supplier base that supports total cost of ownership (TCO), service, and quality, with a focus on home cleaning chemicals raw materials.

Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Type:
Direct Hire | Full-time (40 hrs/week) What you'll do Manage supplier relationships to ensure plant needs are met for price, service level, and quality (lowest TCO). Support supplier selection, qualification, and onboarding in collaboration with Quality and R D. Help develop and execute sourcing strategies for chemical ingredients used in home cleaning products (ex: surfactants, solvents, fragrances, preservatives). Support resolution of recurring service and quality issues within the supplier base. Plan and execute an annual savings plan aligned to procurement strategy. Contribute to sustainability and compliance initiatives by evaluating supplier adherence to regulatory/environmental standards. Analyze data and translate findings into supply chain actions and priorities. Build strong internal/external partnerships and deliver excellent customer service. Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management OR an Associate's degree in Supply Chain with equivalent experience 5-7 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing and/or processing environment with strong sourcing/procurement expertise Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills Fluent in English Preferred / plus Background in FMCG purchasing; experience in household/home cleaning category strongly preferred Knowledge of commodities including chemicals and plastics, plus packaging and transportation (nice-to-have) SAP experience is a plus Experience working in international/cross-cultural organizations Work environment Primarily office environment, with occasional visits to the factory floor PPE as required during plant/floor visits Why this role You'll have direct impact on supplier performance, cost, continuity of supply, and quality—while partnering cross-functionally with teams like Quality and R D to keep products moving and customers supported.
