$500 Quarterly Performance Bonus! We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the purchasing process, including product research, negotiation, and vendor selection. The Buyer will be responsible for researching and selecting the best products and services to meet the needs of our organization. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a keen eye for detail and an ability to stay on top of changing market trends. They are responsible for providing experienced support of company goals as set forth in annual plan, specifically supporting Production, Service and Engineering departments by controlling purchasing efforts in areas of interfacing with vendors, ensuring orders are entered and received in a timely manner, and maintaining current competitive pricing, volume and inventory control. Job Responsibilities:
Plans and places orders for Production, Service and Engineering Departments. Ensures on-time delivery for all materials ordered. Reviews current vendors, prospective vendors, and pricing/service for optimal support to the company's bottom line. Work with Supplier and vendor development, qualification and Supplier management Places orders for office supplies, equipment, furniture, and other miscellaneous items for all departments. Processes purchase orders (PO's) for assigned Supplier parts, miscellaneous items from requisitions and any supplies, equipment, furniture for all department needs. Actively control all PO's including blanket movement to ensure on-time-deliver (OTD): Acknowledgements, confirmations, past due orders Fulfill exceptions in accordance with suggestions to expedite, de-expedite, cancel to maintain optimal inventory levels Updating all dates for accuracy and visibility Communication with Supplier

- to ensure expectations are clear and upheld Negotiating and administration of purchase orders/vendor contracts.
Cost-saving targeting and inventory turn ratio goals. Participate in inventory control through physical inventory Maintain records for reporting on supplier accreditation and service level management. Utilize Epicor accurately to ensure data and transactional integrity. Upkeep supplier information/contact in Epicor. Including all facets/departments needed (AP, QA, Eng, Sales) Work with Suppliers to better payment terms Determine contract opportunities and develop what items should be considered. Run process for small and medium size contract opportunity processes.
Required Skills:
Proven negotiation skills. Demonstrated knowledge of current purchasing practices and programs such as KanBan, Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) and other JIT delivery methods Ability to manage dynamic environment and changing requirements. Continuous improvement of skills. Interpersonal skills

- working knowledge of Windows suite of programs, EPICOR.
Willingness to learn new programs as required.
Required Experience and Education:
Minimum of 5 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience using MRP/ERP systems. Experience in executing supply chain programs such as KanBan, Vendor-Managed Inventory and other JIT delivery programs. BA or BS degree in Business, Engineering, Accounting or other related field or equivalent experience in manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications:
C.P.M. or APICS certification is a plus. Knowledge of EPICOR software. Power BI capabilities
Physical Requirements:
