About the Role The NPI (New Product Introduction) Sourcing Intern will support the sourcing and supply chain team in launching new products from concept through production. This role provides hands-on exposure to supplier management, cross-functional project execution, cost analysis, and supply chain strategy within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The intern will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and sourcing teams to help ensure new product programs are launched on time, at target cost, and with qualified suppliers. Key Responsibilities Support NPI sourcing activities for new product development projects Assist with supplier selection, supplier onboarding, and RFQ (Request for Quote) processes Help track supplier deliverables, tooling timelines, PPAP status, and launch readiness activities Participate in cross-functional project meetings with engineering, quality, operations, and sourcing teams Analyze supplier quotations, lead times, and cost breakdowns to support sourcing decisions Maintain sourcing project trackers, action logs, and risk mitigation plans Assist with identifying supply chain risks and escalation items impacting project timing or cost Support supplier communication related to engineering changes, forecasts, and production ramp schedules Develop reports and presentations related to sourcing metrics, cost savings, and project status Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on sourcing processes and supply chain efficiency Minimum Qualifications Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field Strong organizational and project coordination skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Analytical mindset with attention to detail Interest in manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain, or new product development Preferred Qualifications Previous internship, co-op, or project experience in manufacturing or supply chain Familiarity with ERP systems or data analysis tools Understanding of sourcing, procurement, or supplier management concepts Experience working with cross-functional teams What You'll Gain Exposure to real-world new product launch processes Experience working directly with suppliers and strategic sourcing professionals Understanding of manufacturing supply chains and sourcing strategy Opportunities to contribute to impactful projects supporting business growth Professional development and mentorship within a global manufacturing organization
