Job Title:
Transportation Analyst

  • 40 per hour Job Purpose The Transportation Analyst
  • Freight Payments is responsible for administering weekly freight payment processing for inbound and outbound transportation.
This role works closely with freight payment vendors and internal systems to ensure accurate cost processing, variance resolution, and timely reporting across logistics and finance. This position also serves as a subject matter expert (SME) on freight payment issues while supporting ad hoc analysis and continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities Process weekly freight payment files for inbound and outbound shipments using customized internal workflows Create weekly check requests for freight bills in coordination with Finance Analyze VTM/WebRes freight payment data; research and resolve payment variances Maintain pending WebRes lines at or below departmental targets Communicate discrepancies to freight payment vendors and coordinate corrections Audit and report international and domestic accessorial charges on a weekly and monthly basis Administer monthly Inbound Landed Cost (LDC) reporting and update LDC rates in AMOS Assign appropriate GL accounts to freight payment transactions Pull, analyze, and report freight payment data using Access databases and SQL queries Provide ad hoc reports, cost studies, and analysis for management and company HQ (Seoul) Backup Transportation Analyst support for FTL truckload scheduling as needed Identify and support improvements to internal freight payment and data processes Complete required MPA Academy training annually Additional Responsibilities Weekly freight payment processing and check requests (Inbound/Outbound)
  • 30% Carrier issue investigation, variance resolution, and freight research
  • 30% Monthly landed cost reporting and inbound freight reporting
  • 20% International and domestic accessorial fee reporting
  • 10% Required training completion
  • 10% Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or transportation functions, including: Freight bill auditing Freight rates and carrier management (sea, air, and land) Logistics, traffic, parts warehouse, or accounting operations 4-5 years of general logistics operations experience required Automotive industry experience strongly preferred 5 years of analytics experience within logistics or transportation industries required Skills Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Experience working with relational databases (Access, SQL) Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Ability to work with limited standardization in a fast‑paced environment Strong attention to detail and communication skills Why Join This Team?
