Shipping & Receiving

POSITION SUMMARY

Controls incoming and outgoing shipments, collects and inspects incoming items, inspects and prepares items for shipment. Processes and puts away inventory.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Load and unload delivery trucks Count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records Receive incoming orders Weigh and measure outbound freight to calculate freight class Assist with freight quotes and prepare Bills of Lading Pick product from warehouse racking and prep for shipment Utilize UPS and similar software to process packaged shipments Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications Operate forklift or use dolly to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving to storage or work area Process, photograph, and shelf inventory into warehouse location Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others. Ability to work independently with minimal instruction is essential Dependability and good organizational skills required Computer/Typing skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time; use of hands and arms constantly, able to climb, balance, stoop, or kneel and frequent heavy lifting up to 100 pounds.
